A garage project in collaboration with Lufthansa. For Lufthansa, conventional standard software solutions in logistics are not sufficient to control various container systems or organize repairs. An individual, tailor-made software for the management and automated data management of globally distributed ULDs (Unit Load Devices) is set to propel the company into the digital fast lane.
Outcome
The project’s goal is the development and implementation of an Asset Tracking solution for sensor-based tracking of containers. Conventional solutions track assets within a specific radius. With our IoT solution, the position of the containers is to be determined completely and accurately. This involves sensor-based tracking of ULDs/containers in air freight. Sensors are attached to the ULDs, and data is collected and processed through custom software. Heliot Europe, as a crucial IoT network partner, provides the necessary LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network).
